Boldmere will be hosting the Triathlon for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 at Boldmere Gate in Sutton Park and surrounding streets.
The triathlon will take place on Friday 29th and Sunday 31st July 2022 at Boldmere Gate with the cycling route incorporating streets throughout Boldmere including our high street along Boldmere Road.
Boldmere Futures CIC, Boldmere Neighbourhood Forum, Friends of Wylde Green Train Station, and other community groups are working closely with local councillors, Birmingham City Council and Birmingham 2022 to make Boldmere a bright and cheerful place ready for summer 2022.
There are two big projects that will be delivered alongside the Commonwealth Games. These include:
Flying the Flag for Boldmere
A treasure trail of flags around the Boldmere area.
Enhancing Boldmere’s Street Scene
Enhancing Boldmere’s street scene with lamppost banners, cross-street banners and bunting.
Postbox Topper and Yarn Trail
Explore postboxes and Wylde Green Train Station around Boldmere and find these beautifully knitted postbox toppers and yarn bombing. Brought to you by Friends of Wylde Green Train Station
