It all began when Friends of Wylde Green Train Station (FOWGTS) made a proposal to the Boldmere WI to yarn bomb Wilkinson Close nearest the Station, to commemorate the Commonwealth Games. The WI embraced the proposal and talk began on topper ideas for the nearby post box.
Plans for a trail were hatched when toppers mysteriously appeared outside the United Reform Church and on Wilkinson Close.
FOWGTS followed up leads and managed to link up with several local knit and crochet groups and talented individuals who gamely took on 15 toppers.

All the people involved share a passion to spread a bit of joy in the community with their creations. We hope you enjoy the trail!
